Using movement and body weight to produce a flowing yet deep massage, new therapeutic concepts for connecting and expanding the range of massage strokes.
Slow, deep compressions and strokes affect the deeper structures of the muscular skeletal system, skin and superficial fascia. Deep Tissue utilizes these strokes as a wonderful way for treating new and old injuries, increasing range of motion and reducing scar tissue.
"Zen Shiatsu" is a form of bodywork administered by the thumbs, fingers, palms, elbows, feet and knees. The practitioner is trained to feel and intuit the condition of the body, particularly the circulation, by his/her hands in order to find imbalanced areas. The client remains fully clothed during the treatment. No massage oils or lotions are needed because rather than sliding along the body surface, a series of gentle specific presses are given along the meridian pathways.

Through a series of simple, non-strenuous exercises, we will access the psoas muscle, deep within the torso. The psoas muscles can be a great source of physical and emotional stress. Activated to contract during any "flight or fight" response, either to physically or emotionally threatening situations, the psoas can be responsible for lower back pain and a myriad of other ailments. Through our highly intuitive massage practice, we educate individuals on the physical benefits of massage as a preventative treatment during healthy times and as therapy in recovering from stress, injury, disability and/or pain. Through the practice of yoga asana and philosophy, we teach the infinite benefits of yoga for optimal wellness of body, mind and spirit. Organic Alignment strives to teach individuals how to live in their best light, at peace with the planet, through self-study, health and well-being and the practice of yoga and massage. And through compassionate living, demonstrate how utilizing both massage and yoga can improve quality of life and allow individuals to live in their best light by finding their true authentic selves.
I attended the Southwest Institute for the Healing Arts for Massage Therapy, where I was encouraged to take classes in many different massage modalities and theoretical approaches to health and well-being. With this versatility and a strong medical background, my intuition and assessment skills during hands-on bodywork allow me to customize each massage for every client's needs, reassessing those needs with each subsequent session. And it is in my inherent teacher and "big sister" understanding that I am driven to discuss individual situations and share any helpful knowledge I may have regarding self-healing and peace of mind. My own journey continues, but I am happy to share the things I have learned along my path thus far.
Discovering the path of yoga has helped me enhance my authentic self by building physical strength and quieting the monkey mind. I was brought to yoga through injury and illness and was seeking a physical healing found a mental meditation. I have been practicing yoga for 13 years and a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher and a Licensed Massage Therapist in Arizona. I believe we are all cut from the same cloth however, life decisions and environments affect each individual in a different manner. I strive to individualize the practice of yoga for each student that shares the path, helping them to find their own inner light.
